Traditional last names (or surnames) have been growing in popularity for both boys and girls over the last few decades. This comes as parents are looking for more unique options beyond the popular Noah or Mason.
While many of these names do come parents honoring their family tree, more and more parents are choosing last names because they simply like the sound of them. There are so many different names to fit different styles such as western (Brooks), regal (Kingsley), classics (Austin), or even names taken from popular celebs (Jagger).
These names are attractive to modern parents because they are “normal” and easy to pronounce, but there aren’t a lot of individuals with these names; particularly in older generations.
These names can also be used to take a spin on honoring a family member or even incorporating a maiden name. Whatever the reason, these really such handsome and strong names that truly grow with the boy. I should know, my own son’s name is on this list!
Whatever your reasoning, I’ve rounded up some classics as well as newer inspiration to pick the perfect surname for your little guy!
