It’s your baby’s first Easter! Celebrating all the firsts is so special with your baby and holidays are no different. But what do you even put in your baby’s Easter basket?
Chances are your baby won’t remember this event, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t special for you! I personally used a lot of the first holidays as excuses to purchases things that I’d been putting off. At least that’s what I told my husband!
Typical Easter basket goodies such as candies and eggs aren’t great for your babe, but there are plenty of other great options tailored to their developmental age. And they don’t need to be just junky filler items either. While stuffed animals are sweet, at this stage I already had way more in my house than I ever wanted!
The easiest way to do this is think of some of the stages and milestones coming up. What practical items or toys could be beneficial to your baby in the coming months? Or is there anything you wish you had now to help with daily tasks? Plus add a few cute and fun toys in there to mix it up.
I’ve rounded up plenty of suggestions for useful and cute items the Easter bunny can bring for your little one Easter morning depending on your baby’s age! These suggestions are divided into newborn, 3-6 month, 6-9 months, and 9 months and up.
Now let’s dive right in!

Easter Basket Ideas for Newborns
At this stage, your newborn spends their days sleeping, eating, and snuggling. While it is such a cute phase, their need for lots of “stuff” is minimal. During these first few months they will be learning to hold their head up, starting to grab at toys, smiling, and responding to voices.
If your baby will only be a few months old when Easter comes around, here are some great ideas for their newborn Easter basket.
