The summer heat probably made it hard to get outside and enjoy the fresh air. Now that the weather is cooling down, spend some time out in nature either alone or with loved ones.
Picture this: a perfect autumn day, golden leaves rustling in the breeze, and a delightful picnic spread under the warm sun. As the seasons change, so does our desire for cozy gatherings, and a fall picnic is just the thing to cherish those precious moments with your growing bump!
Grab your comfiest blanket, pack some scrumptious treats (cravings included!), and head to a cute local park or even your own backyard for a lovely afternoon outside.

#8 Go Look at the Fall Leaves
Whether you plan a hike or hop in the car for a scenic drive, take some time to get out in nature and enjoy the beautiful fall leaves and fresh crisp air.
I’m spoiled in Utah living near the mountains where there are so many drives or hikes you can take to view the fall colors. Even in other parts of the country you are sure to find plenty of great places to appreciate nature’s beauty.
Make sure to plan ahead and bring plenty of drinks and healthy snacks for the adventure. And if you’re by car you’ll want to take a few stops to snap some pics!
If you are feeling up to it, turn this trip into a hike and get some exercise out in the cool fall air!
#9 Carve Pumpkins Together (And One For Baby!)
You’ve probably spent a few fall seasons already with your cute baby daddy carving pumpkins together for a date night. There is something so magical about carving pumpkins and including one for your growing little babe.
It just makes the start of this next chapter in life feel so real! And think that next year he or she will be here to celebrate the season with you.
You can pick out a tiny little pumpkin and display the cute carving on your porch for a cute fall display. Or you could even use it for a gender or name reveal to friends and family.
#10 Try Out Some Fall Inspired Recipes
Fall is the start of soup season. And you can’t tell me different!
Cool fall evenings are the perfect time to try out some new recipes to satisfy those pregnancy cravings. When I think of fall, I think of all things slow cookers, warm soups and fresh bread, hearty comfort foods, and every kind of pumpkin dessert you can think of! So, carve out some time in your week to try a few new recipes. You may even find some great options to make freezer meals to prep before baby comes.
Here are some of my favorites I think you should try:
#11 Enjoy a Pumpkin Drink or Treat
I may be in the minority, but I love pumpkin flavored everything year-round. Though it is true that there are so many more options as the leaves start to turn colors. Whether you are a latte or a hot chocolate girl, fall is the time to enjoy all things pumpkin spice! Go ahead and indulge yourself in a delicious treat without any guilt.
While it is recommended that you should keep your caffeine intact to less than 200 mg of caffeine per day, most fall flavored treats can be made decaf. Enjoy your hot drink in your mama mug with an apple cider donut and dream about all the fun moments to come with your new babe.
#12 Enjoy a Thanksgiving Feast with Zero Guilt
We all eat more than our fair share of food each Thanksgiving and end the night with our pants barely fitting.
Well, you are eating for two now and let’s face it, your pants haven’t fit in months! Enjoy this once-a-year free pass guilt free to eat as much food to satisfy you and your growing baby. It is highly unlikely that anyone would dare to make a comment about how much you are eating this year anyways.
So, enjoy the holiday surrounded by family and friends, and look ahead to your new addition that will be joining you next year.
#13 Have a Halloween Movie Date Night In
Spend some quality time with your baby daddy and cozy up to watch a Halloween movie on a cool fall evening. There is so much nostalgia in all the classic movies that come to all the streaming services as soon as October 1st hits. You may even keep track of a few you want to show baby when he or she gets older.
Don’t forget the popcorn and all the other favorite movie snacks!
#14 Get Cozy with a Good Book
The air is getting crisp, and the leaves are starting to fall, doesn’t that just make you want to cozy up with a good book? Fall is a great time to enjoy some important rest and relaxation time after a long busy summer.
Imagine spending a cool afternoon relaxing in a hammock or curling up in a cozy blanket next to a campfire in the evening. Fall really is a magical time.
Especially if you are reaching the end of your pregnancy, it is important to take some time for yourself and for your baby! Relax and destress mama!
And if you are going to be reading anyways, take this time enjoy educating yourself on all the adventures yet to come.
And there you have it! Those are fourteen fall activities you will want to add to your to do list to enjoy your autumn pregnancy. It truly is a magical time of year to celebrate the beauty in the world around us and the miracle coming into your life soon!
